Muscle cramps can also be caused by various other factors. These include taking medication which you have a bad reaction to, tiredness, poor blood circulation and also strenuous exercise.

The point here is that muscle fatigue cause all sorts of people to have cramps. The way to avoid them is to condition your body properly. Eat healthy foods such as vegetables, white meat, low calorie food and exercise regularly. Common sense; but not many people follow it. Athletes get muscle fatigue because they have pushed themselves over their limit! It's ok to push yourself, just be aware of where your limits are.
